The M14-Type Rifles, A Shooter's and Collector's Guide, 3rd
Edition
by Joe Poyer.
The
M14-Type Rifle provides a detailed history of the rifle's development and
use, particularly today in Iraq and Afghanistan where the high-powered 7.62
x 51 NATO (.308) cartridge is ideal for long range sniping and for
penetrating body armor and light vehicles. The M14 rifle and its two sniper
variations, the M21 and M25, are described on a part-by-part basis. A survey
of all current civilian semiautomatic M14-type rifles and components
available today is also included as a separate chapter and brought up to
date. Included also are the Chinese variations of the M14. The history of
the development and use of the M14 in Vietnam is discussed showing how it
led to the development of the sniper variations.
The
book also serves as a guide for shooters who want to restore an M14 to
original condition or build a superb match rifle from the civilian versions.
Various receivers and parts kits are discussed. Separate chapters show how
to turn a commercial M14-type rifle such as the M1A, into a superb match
rifle by choosing the right barrel, glass-bedding the stock, and unitizing
the gas cylinder. Also discussed are National Match rifles with
specifications, ammunition to be used for the best accuracy, targeting and
shooting the M14-type rifle and trouble shooting and maintenance. Finally,
all G.I. issue accessories are described. The book is fully illustrated with
photos and drawings that clarify the text. Appendices provide up-to-date
information on parts and supplies and gunsmithing services. Finally, the
current legal ramifications of owning a semiautomatic rifle is explained.

The M1 Garand: Owner's Guide by
Scott A. Duff.
Disassembly, assembly, inspection, repair, cleaning, zeroing, and more.
Written
specifically for the M1 rifleman. With interest in the Garand at levels not
previously experienced, new owners often have questions about their recent
acquisition. Most common among them are: "Who made my rifle and when?" "How
do I take it apart and put it back together?" "How do I clean, lubricate,
and maintain it?" This book will answer those questions.
The civilian owner of an M1 rifle is faced with maintenance activities not
encountered by military users. The owner must understand the operation and
function of the rifle, and be proficient at disassembly, assembly,
inspection, and replacement of individual components. the purpose of this
book is to impart that information to the reader which is necessary to
develop the knowledge and ability to perform those tasks. Acquisition of
these skills will inspire confidence at the work bench and rifle range!

The M1
Garand Complete Assembly Guide by Walt
Kuleck and Clint McKee.
Since the
publication of Scott Duff's The M1 Garand Owner's Guide, readers have asked
for a book that would help guide them through the assembly of their M1
Garand. Ideally, such a book would impart the tips, tricks, pitfalls and
"gotchas!" that experienced Garand enthusiasts and armorers have discovered
and developed over the years.
This is that
book. It goes beyond the military manuals in depth and scope, using words
and pictures to clearly guide the reader through every operation required to
assemble their Garand. You'll learn the best and easiest ways to build your
rifle. It won't make you an Garand armorer, but it will make you a more
knowledgeable owner. You'll be able to do more with (and to) your rifle.
You'll also be able to better judge the competence of those whom you choose
to work on your rifle, and to discuss your needs more intelligently with
them.
The M1
Garand Complete Assembly Guide is a companion volume to The M1 Garand
Owner's Guide by Scott Duff. The Owner's Guide gives you a look into the
history and development of the Garand, as well as giving you everything you
need to know to use and maintain your M1 Rifle. The Owner's Guide goes far
beyond the military manuals in both scope and depth. It is a "must have for
every Garand owner! The M1 Garand Complete Assembly Guide has 161 pages and

The M1 Garand: Serial Numbers & Data Sheets
by Scott A. Duff.
A pocket
reference guide to the M1 rifle. The 8" x 4" size makes for easy pocket
carry to Gun Shows. Includes 84 Data Sheets.
Two of the
most critical factors in collecting the M1 Garand are the determination of
dates of manufacture and identification of components correct for specific
rifles. This is important whether considering the purchase of an M1 that is
being presented as original, or attempting to restore a rifle to its correct
configuration. The best way to determine the correct components for a
specific M1 is through use of data sheets on original rifles. The purpose of
this book is to provide the reader with serial number tables and a large
sampling of data sheets to aid in identification and restoration.

M1 Garand 1936 to 1957,5th
Edition by Joe Poyer and Craig Riesch.
This
revised and expanded guide describes the entire range of M1 Garand
production in text and quick-scan charts-dimensions, markings, finishes and

Every
part by each of the four manufacturers is analyzed and described. The book
also provides the most complete analysis yet of the World War II M1 Garand
as well as the M1C, M1D and MC 1952 sniper rifles. Included is a thorough
discussion of their telescopic sights and mounts to pinpoint which one is
correct for a particular period. The U.S. Navy's 7.62 x 51mm NATO rifles,
all British, Danish, and other Lend-Lease M1 Garands are described. A
classification structure for National Match Rifles has been devised which
permits the collector to first determine whether or not a particular M1
Garand is a National Match rifle, and then to determine when it was
assembled.

Cunningham, with Foreword by Scott A. Duff.
A single
reference book that chronicles the U.S. knife bayonet from those used on the

more closely represents its use by the infantryman.
Until now no
single reference book has chronicled U.S. military knife bayonets of the 20
century. Gary Cunningham, a bayonet historian and collector since 1960, has
written this book as a culmination of his studies and his acquisitions. In
the author's words, "A guide for collectors, including notes on makers,
markings, finishes, variations, scabbards, and production data." Covered are
bayonets from the Model of 1892 used on the Krag rifle to the current issue
M9 for the M16.
The layout
and text is "user-friendly" to beginning and advanced collectors alike.
Bayonets and scabbards are addressed in the order adopted. The
computer-generated line drawings are of outstanding clarity. A detailed
"Specifications Box" is included on each model to guide the reader through
